Hidden - Selena Laurence A classic summer-read romance, Hidden is cute and fluffy with an edge of mystery and angst that was an easy, steamy, sweet read. Lyndsey Anderson and Nick Carlisle are both running from dark pasts when they meet at the bar where Lyndsey is a waitress. Though they aren't looking for any kind of relationship or commitment, they are nevertheless attracted to one another. Lyndsey is trying to move on from a bad relationship and a secret, one she will do anything to keep, including hiding from love. Nick is suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome from a horrific tour in Afghanistan. He's in Hawaii attending college and working through his issues with his therapist. After meeting Lyndsey, he's determined to put himself out there again and ask her out. Nick begins pursuing Lyndsey and he will stop at nothing to get her to go out with him. As they get to know one another, he resolves to be there for her, no matter what. But with the secrets and horrors from her past be stronger than what's between them? That was beautiful and powerful, and you are beautiful and powerful. I am utterly in awe of you, and...And I can't believe I got to be a part of that. You slay me, Goldilocks, you slay me. Hidden is the perfect light read to soothe away the stress and worry about everyday life. With just enough angst to keep things interesting and enough romance to incite a swoon, I found this to be the perfect summer/relaxing read. Casting: Lyndsey Nick
