Eversea: A Love Story

Eversea - Natasha Boyd “He was like a bright and beautiful rogue planet. He pulled the entire galaxy into a gravitational wobble until he got close enough to suck you in and tilt your axis head over heels.” ― Natasha Boyd, EverseaJack Eversea, hot Hollywood A-lister, flees from his increasingly shallow life in L.A. after his long time girlfriend cheats on him with their director. Shipping off to Butler's Cove in Lowcountry, he seeks a simple, more peaceful existence, if only for a little while. What he didn't bargain for was the straightforward, charming Keri Ann Butler.Keri Ann, orphaned and given the responsibility of maintaining their family home, has been coasting in her life until now. Her life has been put on hold until her brother finishes college, when she will finally have her turn at following her dreams. This all changes when Jack Eversea sits down at the bar she's tending.Eversea depicts the smoldering romance between a small town girl and the enigmatic actor determined to figure her out.Unlike other women, Keri Ann doesn't immediately fall head over heels for him. She treats him like a person, whereas most other people treat him as an object. It's easy for other people just to see what they can take from him or what he can do to help them.Keri Ann, with all of her obligations, hasn't been able to find the time or inclination to pursue a relationship at all. She resists her intense, visceral attraction to Jack. He's too experienced, too confidant, too risky to even think about going there. But as it always happens, when that person comes along that just clicks with you, you can't really pass it up. So Keri Ann falls, and falls hard for this man. The relationship was written so truthfully that that after reading Eversea, it was all I could think about for days. But hiding out in Lowcountry isn't going to solve Jack's Hollywood problems. There is still the situation with his (ex? we hope) girlfriend and his work to deal with. Can this superstar be with a simple country girl?I loved everything about this book. The heart-stopping romance, the oh-no-they-didn't twist, and the ache of love torn away. There's nothing more real than being apart from the one you love. All of this and more makes this a 5-star read for me.Authors who have the ability to make me feel like I am apart of the story will always have me coming back for more. Always. And Natasha Boyd did that for me with Eversea. He was a dazzling, heart-stopping aura of a man who in just days has me feeling like I was perched on the edge of a precipice and seriously contemplating throwing myself over the edge. The idea was terrifying in its finality and in its inevitability.― Natasha Boyd, EverseaEnds on a bit of a cliffhanger, but with the promise of hopefully mending fences with book two.
